Juvenile Community Corrections & Prevention Services Director

Location: Liberal, KS

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Juvenile Community Corrections & Prevention Services Director to oversee and manage programs designed to address the needs of at-risk youth. The Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating initiatives that aim to prevent juvenile delinquency and promote positive outcomes for young individuals in the community.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategies to provide comprehensive support and resources to at-risk youth.
2. Collaborate with community partners, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations to coordinate services and interventions.
3. Monitor program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement based on data and feedback.
4. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and grant requirements in all program activities.
5. Supervise and support a team of staff members working directly with youth and families.
6. Participate in community outreach efforts and represent the organization at relevant meetings and events.
7. Prepare and manage budgets, grants, and funding proposals related to juvenile services programs.
8. Maintain accurate records and documentation of program activities, outcomes, and participant information.
9. Stay informed about current trends, best practices, and research in the field of juvenile justice and community corrections.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in social work, criminal justice, psychology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
2. Previous experience working with at-risk youth, ideally in a community-based setting.
3. Knowledge of juvenile justice system processes, laws, and emerging trends.
4. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
5. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective programs and interventions for youth populations.
6. Experience managing budgets, grants, and contracts related to social services or criminal justice programs.
7. Proficiency in data analysis and evaluation to measure program outcomes and impact.
8. Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in program development and service delivery.
